There’s no code needed at all, so anybody can use this method. In this guide, we’ll show you the few short steps it takes to add your video carousel or other video embeds to you Show It website.

What’s important for Embedding Video in Show It?

  • Page speed - When adding videos to your website, loading speed is your top priority. Clipara has all of this covered, and is much better for your site than loading a bunch of MP4s or YouTube videos. Make sure to only load video assets as users interact with them. Your website will stay zippy, and your bounce rates will thank you.
  • Ease of Installation - Getting those videos up and running shouldn't require a computer science degree. Choose a video platform that offers straightforward embed codes. Show It has a simple HTML embed functionality that means you can easily drop in external video experiences with a simple copy-paste job, no need to figure it out from scratch.
  • User Experience - Provide a great video experience to keep customers engaged. Make sure multiple videos don't play at once, it's easy to switch from one video to another, simple pausing and sound controls. Keep it simple.
  • On Brand Experience - Your videos need to feel like they belong on your website, not like they've crashed the party. Match your video player's style to your website's design where possible. A consistent brand experience keeps your visitors engaged and your marketing team happy. This is much better than ending up with completely off brand suggested content from platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

Why add videos to your Show It site?

Adding videos to your website can create a far more engaging, modern experience. Modern users prefer video, so whether it's explainers, testimonials, customer content or anything else, bringing in a few videos can be an incredibly impactful way to deliver you message.

The simplest way to add a video carousel to your Show It site with Clipara.

Clipara is a video platform built specifically for easy creation and embedding of modern video experiences, with no technical knowledge required at all.

Below we'll show you how to create a slick video carousel with Clipara and how to embed it in Show It.

Step 1

Upload your videos to Clipara. You can upload from your computer, or get videos from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube.

Step 2

Create a campaign, and choose your playing experience. Either Inline or Full Screen. Inline will play the videos directly in the page. Full screen pops open a full screen swipeable experience just like Instagram Reels or TikTok. You will also choose the base widget layout that you would like to use. In this instance you will choose Carousel.

Step 3

Select the videos you want to use in the carousel and choose the order of them.

Step 4

Customise your campaign. There's a lot of possibilities here. As well as changing layouts and colours, you can also customise thumbnails, add titles to videos and more.

Step 5

It's now time to install your campaign on Show It. Click save, and copy the install snippet that pops up in the Clipara dashboard.

Embed in Show It

After generating an embed code from the widget or form you are wanting to add to your Showit site, head over to the Design App and choose the canvas that you would like to add your embed code to. With the canvas selected, choose the Element Icon in the Bottom Toolbar, and then choose the Embed Code option.

Where to Insert Your Body Code

Once you've added this box to your canvas, you will see the Embed Info tab at the top of the Properties Panel on the right. If you don't see this tab, click on the embed code box first.

In this tab, click on the Custom Code box, paste the embed code from your widget or form into the custom code field and choose to Save. Then, set the dimensions by clicking and dragging the corners of the embed. Make sure to drag right to the sides of the canvas and leave enough height for the embed.

And that's it! Your campaign is now live.
